Cassia tora splits, also called cassia tora splits, senna splits and cassia senna splits; are derived from the seeds of Cassia Obtusifolia- a plant that mainly grows after the monsoon season. The seeds of this plant are cut into two halves, called splits. Before being split into two halves, the seeds are graded, dehusked, de-germed, milled and screened. Comprising alactose and mannose elements, these pale yellow splits can be used as cattle feed as well as food additives & preservatives. Apart from this, Cassia torea splits find application in beauty products, pesticides, mining, toiletries, medical and other industries.
